We tend to forget that pretty much everything we read in books or see on TV is exaggerated. We get the idea that life is supposed to be about having multiple love interests, getting married right away, and then having kids right away. It’s not that way in real life. Being in love with someone for a few months or years does not mean you can’t have other relationships for the rest of your life. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get married, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t date other people, either.
